Ron Booth just left our home after inspecting some things I had brought to his attention through Debbie Nash. In spite of the fact that his visit was primarily to check those things out and see what could be done, he and I ended up having a brief conversation that reiterated the value of Boone Homes to the Roanoke community. I would like to let you know that our family will forever remember Boone Homes with great fondness for the way we have been treated and the comfort we have experienced in this brand new home. A year ago, we finalized our plans for a home in Tarrington on the James in Midlothian, Va. Early on in the process, we were introduced to William Harper, who would become our site supervisor. Little did we know, on first meeting, that William would also become our trusted guide and friend, the go-to person for everything we would need, the calm within the storm and the expert on everything pertaining to our home. A year later, it is hard to envision how we could have accomplished our dreams without this talented and gentle soul being a part of the process. From our perspective as the customer, William is Boone Home’s greatest asset!

Times are tough, people are carrying a heavy load of worry and concern in their personal and professional lives, change is an everyday occurrence. All of these issues could be unsettling and distracting. Never was there an occasion when William showed a shadow of these concerns in the work place. He arrived early in the morning with a “can do-will do” attitude and left late each evening having accomplished a great deal and with a stated plan for the next day’s work. Everything was scheduled, followed up, written down and measured in terms of the customer’s satisfaction…the only thing that really matters in the end.

I’m writing to commend John and Steve, who came today and finished every last thing that was on our 11-month “punch” list and, in some cases, found other items and voluntarily fixed those. We couldn’t possibly have asked for more polite, professional and competent people than John and Steve. They both are ready and willing to “go the extra mile”. I know you realize this, but those two guys are the best and we hope you can hold on to them.

As Mary and I have always said – one of the best assets Boone Homes has are its people. The other major asset is, of course, the sturdy construction and attention to small architectural details that set Boone Homes apart.

Our hats are off to you. As a former CEO of a company for 30 years, I know employees don’t perform very well unless the people at the top “walk the talk”. It’s clear that you model the kind of behavior and customer service to make your employees want to do their best.

We know these challenging economic times are hurting builders and all the trades that depend on the builders. We sincerely hope Boone Homes will weather these stormy times and emerge again as one of the best builders in the Richmond area. We should not hesitate to recommend a Boone home to anyone.

It has been over 5 months since we moved into our new Boone Home and I would like to take this time to thank a few members of your staff for making the transition into our new home so pleasant.

Syonia Anderson has always been more than helpful and congenial. She was patient with us during the selection process and guided us toward some selections she thought would work best for us and what we wanted to do with our home. She has an excellent knowledge of all the items available to your clients and shares that information with them.

John Clevinger, our Superintendent since the end of May, has been great. He has always been available and receptive to questions no matter how silly or insignificant they seemed to him. His knowledge of building a home was very helpful to us in explaining the process we were going through. He assisted and coordinated the 60 day punch list very effectively, causing the least disturbance to us. Thank you so very much!

I wanted to say I have been really impressed with the individuals who work for Boone Homes. They have all been very pleasant, patient, knowledgeable and helpful. Frank and I especially want to comment on Steve’s managerial oversight of our building project. He was very efficient and professional in his interactions with us as clients, addressing our concerns and incorporating our requests while keeping the project progressing quickly enough to come in ahead of the projected schedule.
